Avigail & Roland

Itinerary

Dinner - North Pond

Lincoln Park - Friday 6:45 p.m.

Water - nurturing, cleansing, and yet powerful enough to erode even the hardest, most intractable obstacles given enough time. What better place for us to start our weekend together than the place where I asked you to be my wife alongside the waters of the North Pond in Lincoln Park?

Join me as we sample the delicacies from the Michelin-rated restaurant’s ever-rotating prix fixe menu and expertly paired wine selections.

Brunch - Avec RN

River North - Saturday 1:45 p.m.

I can still vividly remember what you were wearing the night we had our first dinner together at Avec. Let’s rediscover some of the flavors we shared that night with Avec’s brunch menu at its new River North location as we walk

Shakira + Peso Pluma

Grant Park - Saturday 5:30 PM-10:00 PM

From the days when Ed from Akoo would get us front row at local shows to traveling across states for music festivals, music - and especially live music - has always formed a key part of our love language. What better way to celebrate 10 years of marriage than heading to the coolest new music festival in Chicago - Sueños Festival 2025 - for an exclusive VIP experience of the best in modern Latino music with headliners Shakira and Peso Pluma?

Brunch - Obelix

River North - Sunday 12:00 P.M.

We have had some amazing (and interesting) meals together over the years - from ant eggs near Aztec ruins to arctic char among the Norwegian fjords. Let’s discuss what crazy meals we want to try on our voyage to visit the Grecian ruins and maybe even plan our next adventure together.

And let’s do so while enjoying world-class French cuisine at Obelix, the best new French bistro in Chicago, which the world-renowned Michelin Guide describes as “lavishness on another level”. What do we dare try: escargot? duck confit salad? Foie gras pancakes? Let’s have some fun with it!

  • I offer you this weekend not just as a celebration, but as a seed — planted with love, which I vow to tend with care — to help us grow again.

  • Love is the flower you've got to let grow.
